I am having problems getting full xp pro component to locate all the corresponding components. I saw that sp2 and rollup1 need to be installed. sp2 i believe was installed when i did the initial install of the tools/database; but when i try to install rollup1, it extracts the files to a GUID folder, asks me to backup the database, i accept the EULA, then I get this error... "QFE Installer -- Error A new platform object needs to be installed before this update can be installed. Please download the latest platform update from <http://www.microsoft.com/embedded> and install it before attempting to install this QFE." Setup cannot continue.
I can't seem to find the missing platform update on Microsoft's site. Being fairly new to XPe, Microsoft's vagueness makes it difficult to correctly locate pieces necessary to make the system function. My overall goal is to get an image as close to the XP Pro configuration as possible so I can get a specific piece of software to run on it (which is designed to run on XP Home/Pro). Could this have anything to do with me working with the Eval version of XPe tools? Feature pack 2007 is installed.
