    windows product activation

Here's the error I get when the computer first boots. I also get the same error when I click on the "administrator" button to login. Apparently I've left something out that should have been in there, but I did check dependencies with no errors.

    Error:

A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code 0x80070002

    Hello segen77,

Did you set the partition size in Target Designer to match the size of the disk you are deploying to? If the target partition size is under 1GB then you need to specify the size in the configuration properties. So, in Target Desginer click Settings in the active configuration pane (just under the name of the project). In the details pane on the right you'll see the available settings for the configuration. Click "Target Device Settings" to expand then locate "Boot partition size (MB)". Type in the size of the partition.

Yeah. I already did that step.

I figured that there was some component that I left out.

    Hello There,

I've had same problem that you are discribing. I kept getting the An error is preventing Windows from accurately checking your license message (or something along those lines).

And I at some point I noticed that the machine I was building my XPe image for was a Multiprocessor PC. So I checked my target designer config and saw that only the advanced confiuration power interface (ACPI) PC was added. I got rid of that error by deleting the Advanced configuration power interface (ACPI) PC component and adding the Multiprocessor PC component.

I hope this solves your problem.

    Hello segen77,

Take a look at the fbalog.txt in \Windows\FBA after the first boot agent completes. See if there are any obvious errors. Something that comes to mind is disk enumeration. Make sure that drive letters on the target on doing what you expect.
