Samsung 400pxn Windows XPe- advice needed please

    Hi,

i was wondering if anyone can help me, ive got a samsung tv with a embedded windows xp on the chip (samsung syncmaster 400pxn), i was wondering is there anyway to install applications on it, im also trying to connect to a domain and when it reboots it goes back to default and doesnt save any changes..

im new to this so i apologies for my ignorance, i read that you can boot from a usb stick not sure if this true and if it is true i dont mind having windows installed on it and everything running from the stick then the embedded chip..

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    thankyou.

    Hello a4r0,

It sounds like EWF is enabled on the device. EWF is a dik protection feature that allows read / write media to act as read only media by using a filter dirver on the primary disk. Check for the EWF Manager utility in \Windows\System32. If the utility is there you can commit the changes that you are making so they are persistent. You can read about EWF Manager here:
