    Internet Explorer 6

Hi All, I using Sean liming Full XP Pro like macro component to build runtime image.

However, one of our user required Internet Explorer 6 instead of Internet Explorer 7.

I cant seem to just uninstall IE7 in the runtime.

if i remove the Internet Explorer component in Target Designer, with auto-resolve dependency check on. It will add back all the Internet Explorer component.

I uncheck the auto-resolve dependency check, able to build the image and run FBA on the target system.

I downloaded ie6setup.exe with all the necessary files and try to install in the target system.

the ie6setup.exe detected that IE7 is still around so unable to continue the installation.

Is there any way to remove IE7 from the "Full XP Pro like" marco component, so that I able to install IE6?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thank you

BTW I just a newbie as I only learn XPE 1 month ago.

    Hi,

It shouldn't be too hard.. BTW I'm a newbie too. Open the Full XP component with the Component designer,  look for "Full XP Pro- Networking & Communications", right click the subset and hit "Update Component"-this will allow you to edit list of dependencies/dependent components.

Now, remove all the Internet components from the list and you should be good to go(almost). Save you component.. One more step you can either save it with a different name and import it to your repository or remove the old revision and re-upload you component one more time.

     I hope this helps,

    T
