    FBWF replace EWF

Regarding the reading from mdsn, FBWF is a new feature in service pack 2. FBWF, like EWF,can be used to protect entire physical media volumes. FBWF, however, also supports write-through for individual files or directories. Write-through permits the application to specify specific files and directories that the FBWF should not protect, thus giving applications more flexibility. When an application tries to write to a protected file, a copy of that file is created in cache memory and all writes modify only the cached file.

So, does it mean i need to update my window xp embedded database or purchase a new one incase to use this FBWF feature?

    Hello may_lee,

Yes, you will need to install Feature Pack 2007 to access the latest components including the FBWF. The FP2007 will install onto any system running XPe SP2.

    Hi Brad,

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Programming/Other-Programming-Files/Windows-XP-Embedded-Feature-Pack.shtml

Refer to the link, is it the FP2007 as what you state? If i install it, will it effect my existing embedded database or file? Thanks for the reply.
