    Remote Desktop activation

     Hello everybody.

I've made several Xpe images and all works fine.

Now, for a new system, I need Remote desktop, so, in target designer I added "Terminal server remote desktop" component. This component works fine. But I have to manualy enable it.

So my problem is, how enable remote desktop automaticaly ?

I tried, in target designer, to change the registry data "fDenyTSconnection" to 0 in order to activate it, but, when XPe boot for the first time, fDenyTSconnection value is 1 (this value disable remote desktop).

     So i need your help.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Gatzo,

I haven't had a chance to test this in a build yet, but I noticed on my system that the value is 0 by default in Target Designer. If I understand your question correctly, you have to change it from 1 to 0 manually?

What version (RTM, SP1, SP2, FP2007, URU 1.0) of the tools are you using?

    Re: Remote Desktop activation

Yes, Indeed, when you add the Terminal server remote desktop component, fdennyTSconnections value is "0", but when you want to change, ou can reselect the registry entry fdenytsconnections, and this time, the value is 1, which is the real value.

Indeed, you add the remote desktop component (with 0 value for fdenytsconnection), you build the configuration, then, you launch it on your target, and when you go in "regedit" to see the fdenytsconnections value, the value is 1 !!! And I don't know why.

I think there is a security component which disable the remote desktop but I don't know which component, and I don't know how to force the registry entry fdenytsconnection to 0.

I tried to make a component which put fdenytsconnections to 0, but it doesn't work. (I tried to set build order to 32767 which is the higher value, but, it's the same, fdenytsconnections is always 1).

PS : Brad, I'm using the FP2007 version.
