I have some questions about SDI. I succesfully booted over PXE using a linux tftpboot server. But I have some problems with my final XPE image and I don't uderstand how fix this issue.
To complete the final setup on client machine I have to start Windows directly from the client (diskless client). But SDI is read only and all content is loaded into system RAM. Consequently each reboot reset the configuration, OK it's the goal of thinclient who booting over PXE. However, at the first configuration I must setup few things like computer name, ramdisk driver...
I cannot setup these with Target Designer, and computer name is not ramdomly created (sytem cloning tools is also installed) and ramdisk driver setup installation start again at reboot. My questions are :
- how to install definitely ramdisk driver
- how to genrate a ramdom computer name ? System cloning tools reseal the machine, but why reseal a machine whose system is on read only SDi ? It has no effect...
Have you some idea about these ?
